Educational experiences of school communities in the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic periods. Good practices and recommendations

The studies presented in this volume were conducted within the framework of the project under the title “School education in the pandemic and post-pandemic era in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia” (no. 22210036). They were financed with the means of the International Visegrad Fund. The scientific aim of the project was to find out about the mode of functioning of school communities in the situation of pandemic, with particular taking into account forms of distance education realized in the areas of selected elementary schools in Poland, Czechia and Slovakia. The research was conducted on the basis of two independent procedures. In the book Educational experiences of school communities in the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic periods. Good practices and recommendations. Poland - Czechia - Slovakia presented the results of research conducted in the qualitative procedure. The authors of the book decided that members of school communities, who co-participated in the changes which were going on in education then, would offer the best source of information on the questions of interest to them. Reconstructing their experiences was meant to show reflections on distance learning which was resorted to during the pandemic. Consequently, the collected narratives allowed us to get familiar with the way of structuring the new knowledge, as well as with social practices worked out at that time, ones that laid the foundation of elaborating and presenting a catalogue of good educational practices and recommendations connected with this mode of school education. The book is addressed to people professionally we address the book to persons who are professionally connected with schools, that is teachers and people directly responsible for organizing the didactic process (headteachers, methodologists, officers of local school authorities).

Zaprezentowane w książce badania przeprowadzone zostały w ramach projektu „School education in the era of pandemic and post-pandemic in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia” (no.22210036) i sfinansowane ze środków the International Visegrad Fund’s. Celem naukowym projektu było poznanie sposobu funkcjonowania społeczności szkolnej w sytuacji pandemii ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem form kształcenia na odległość realizowanego na terenie wybranych szkół podstawowych w Polsce, Czechach i Słowacji. Poszukiwania badawcze przebiegały w oparciu o dwie odrębne procedury. W książce Educational experiences of school communities in the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic periods. Good practices and recommendations. Poland - Czechia - Slovakia autorki przedstawiły wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w procedurze jakościowej. Autorki książki uznały, że najlepszym źródłem informacji na interesujące je zagadnienia będą członkowie społeczności szkolnych, którzy współuczestniczyli w przemianach zachodzących wówczas w oświacie. Rekonstrukcja ich doświadczeń miała na celu ukazanie refleksji na temat kształcenia na odległość prowadzonego w okresie pandemii. Zgromadzone narracje pozwoliły poznać sposób strukturyzowania nowej wiedzy, jak również wypracowane w tym czasie praktyki społeczne, które stały się podstawą do opracowania i zaprezentowania katalogu dobrych praktyk edukacyjnych i rekomendacji związanych z tego typu kształceniem. Książka adresowana jest do osób zawodowo związanych ze szkołą tj. nauczycieli oraz osób bezpośrednio odpowiedzialnych za organizowanie procesu dydaktycznego (tj. dyrektorów szkół, metodyków, pracowników kuratorium).
