As the world has become increasingly globalized through trade, investment, migration and communication, interest in global inequality has grown. This interest reaches far beyond academia and has increased dramatically in recent years. Global inequality has several dimensions, and among them economic inequality has attracted the most attention. In this monograph, global economic inequality is treated as a particular aspect of the World Distribution of Personal Income (WDPI). The WDPI concept is the global counterpart of a country’s income distribution.
