Ojciec i jego imię, jego władza i waga. Ojciec i jego reprezentacje, jego braki i wybrakowania. Ojciec i nasze rewolty, nasze oczekiwania i pragnienia. Ojciec symboliczny, ojciec fantazmatyczny i dany ojciec – z krwi i kości. Wreszcie obecność ojca: nieredukowalna, potężna i niekwestionowalna; zarówno dla tych, które i którzy jej doświadczyli, jak i dla tych, którym była obca. Wszystko to jest znane. Warto jednak przyjrzeć się bliżej warunkom, w których te rozpoznane już problemy pojawiają się na nowo, aby lepiej odpowiedzieć na powracające widmo ojca i przewidzieć związane z jego nadejściem wydarzenia.
