Drugi tom rocznika „Ecumeny and Law” poświęcony jest w swej zasadniczej części suwerenności rodziny. Podstawowym dokumentem Kościoła katolickiego w tej mierze jest ustanowiona w roku 1983 Karta Praw Rodziny. Autorzy tomu podkreślają ciągłość europejskiej tradycji chrześcijańskiej, która znajduje swoje odzwierciedlenie w tradycyjnej rodzinie, przeciwstawiając ją najnowszym trendom kulturowym, takim jak ideologia gender.
Otwierający tom artykuł Prof. Wojciecha Świątkiewicza omawia przeobrażenia rodziny oraz opisuje sytuację aksjologicznej chwiejności, w której obecnie funkcjonują zarówno rodzina, jak i jednostka ludzka. W artykule Ks.
